Chaves Mag scaled 229
This is probably on of the most simple things that nobody ever thought of before the GOAT did it on the 229’s and Scapegoat knives. But it is ingenious. The magnetic scale on an integral handle knife and the various options to change out the inlay and hardware as well as the pocket clip. Yes this is a typical Chaves knife. Big bold and beautiful knife. The M390 blade is crazy sharp. The action is smooth as silk. The one handed opening did take a few tries to get it right with my size hands. But after that it few like flipping a smaller knife. There is no movement with the magnetic scale. But also super easy to pop out of the handle. I only have a few Chaves knives but have quickly become my new favorites to purchase and carry. My edc is the 229 auto but will grab this one to carry when not at work. If beefy badass blades aren’t your thing so be it. But if you haven’t purchased a Chaves knife you really don’t know what you’re missing out on. Buy one, carry one and rock the skill clip. Thanks edc for the great service and fast shipping

Magnetic 229
This is my 3rd Chaves. 1st being the Scapegoat titanium and 2nd the auto 229 ProTech Chaves collab. Absolutely love the blade grind on this new version. You can have one knife and have so many options to change it up with the different scales, clips and hardware. Some are going to be put off by the price tag $425. But it is a beast. The magnetic scale does not have any movement while gripping the knife. The M390 blade is super sharp. The action is a little stiff at first. But after a few minutes it is easily flicked opened with a push of the thumb stud. It just a beautiful knife.
