Amazing knife
This was the first Chinese produced knife I had ever purchased. I could no longer withstand the urge to have a chaves, I love the chunky blocky design with the tanto blade. The knife itself was perfect, dlc is nice solid and the micarta inlay is smooth which I wasn't expecting. The action is very smooth but has good tension still, like a spartan harsey folder. The frame lock is super smooth with zero stick and not heavy at all. It locks up rock solid at about 30%. The peekaboo flipper tab is cool and clicky sounds cool. The one flaw and why I suppose it was returned is the straight edge was very dull, run your finger over it with a good amount of pressure and nothing. I threw an edge on it in about 30 seconds, now its good to go. I got this for half price because of what I can tell was a partially dull edge. Very happy with the quality and construction of this chaves 229.
